NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Salman Khan is the wealthiest Indian celebrity list, according to the Forbes 2018 India Celebrity 100 list, which Salman Khan has topped for the 3rd consecutive year. Shah Rukh Khan the Bollywood star has fallen out of the top 10 list. Forbes List 2018 India.

The 2018 Forbes 100 Indian Celebrity List; rankings based on entertainment-based earnings of celebrities. The period is October 1, 2017, to September 30, 2018.
The actor’s earnings pegged at Rs 253.25 crore (Indian rupees). Salman Khan, 52, cemented his place in the top spot thanks to the commercial success of his films “Tiger Zinda Hai” and “Race 3”. Endorsements of several consumer-facing brands backed his earnings, and constitute 8.06 percent of the total revenues — Rs 3,140.25 crore — of the top 100 celebrities for the year 2018, a statement from Forbes.
Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli jumped one spot to the 2nd rank, total earnings of Rs 228.09 crore, a quick increase of 116.53 percent from the past year (2017). Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar completed the top three, with Indian Rs 185 crore in earnings in the period considered for the list.
With no film releases in 2017; Shahrukh Khan who at the 2nd spot on the 2017 Forbes India Celebrities list fell out of the top 10 list. Khan earnings were down 33 percent this year, at Rs 56 crore from endorsements, placing him at rank 13 on the list.
Newly-wed Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone broke into the top five on the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list — the first woman celebrity to get a place in the top five — with earnings of Indian Rs 112.8 crore, placing Deepika Padukone firmly at rank 4, thanks to the commercial success of the film “Padmaavat,” and her brand endorsements.
Cricket team star Mahendra Singh Dhoni rounded up the top 5 with Indian Rs 101.77 crore, followed by Bollywood actor Aamir Khan (Rs 97.50 crore), Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan (Rs 96.17 crore), actor Ranveer Singh (Rs 84.7 crore), Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar (Rs 80.00 crore) and actor Ajay Devgn (Rs 74.50 crore Indian rupees) making it to the top 10 of 100 list.
There is mixed representation from the South Indian film industry. There are only 17 celebrities from the South this year against 13 on the 2017 list. South Indian actress Nayanthara, whose earnings stand at Rs 15.17 crore Indian rupees, is the only actress from the South Indian film industry to make it to the list of 100, following the success of her comedy, “Kolamavu Kokila” and the thriller “Aramm.”
